Stream Narration

For some collections, you can enable stream narration, which will add synthesized voice to the stream for certain events.

Ball Collection​

The following events are announced for the Ball collection.

  • Batter announcements
  • Pitcher announcements
  • End of game

Hockey / Ringette Collections​

The follwoing events are announced for the Hockey and Ringette collections.

  • Goal announcements
  • Penalty announcements
  • Team action announcements (i.e. Time Out)
  • End of period announcements

Choosing Voice​

You can choose from the installed voices on your device to use for stream narration. To select a voice, tap the "💬" button. This will open the voice selector, which will preview each voice as you select it.

Adding Voices​

You can download additional voices to your device. To download and select additional devices, open the Settings app, and navigate to Accessibility -> Spoken Content -> Voices -> English, then tap the Voice selector to see a list of available voices. Tapping the download link that appears beside any of the voices will add it to your device, and make it available to use in SportStream Camera.

iOS Personal Voice

The iOS Personal Voice feature is not supported for stream narration.

Enabling Voice Narration​

Voice narration can be enabled for any custom themed collection. It is not available for the built in scene collections.

You can enable stream narration from the Setup in-stream menu.

Collection Options

You can also enable stream narration in the Options settings screen for the current Scene Collection. Enabling the theme narration option will keep it enabled whenever you load that connection.
